In God We Trust

Odd thing, the new Presidential dollar coins have In God We Trust removed from the face of the coin and moved it onto the coins edge. Could we say we have pushed God onto the edge?

License Plates in Minnesota

The State of Minnesota has replaced the state traditional raised letter/number vehicle license plates with similar looking license plates and the change is not for the better.
I can imagine that they are much cheaper to manufacture as they avoid the costly stamping of the assigned license number and have replaced it with a simple printing on a flat surface. They still contain the holograms and reflectorized paint. The painting of the numbers presents a problem to law enforcement and anyone else who may try to read the numbers in our salt/snow /ice climate that we often experience here in Minnesota winter.
A salt snow spray accumulation will quickly cover the plate and obscure the ability to read the numbers. When the numbers are raised, a similar salt spray covering is not able to hide readability of the number.
It won’t be long until the DOT hears from police departments and others across the state regarding the problem. I would think that those responsible for the change would look into why those numbers have been raised for so many years before making such a big change.

RACISM IS A FACTOR

The Kevin Diaz story 10-10 in the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports a high participation of black voters in the November election and describes those who are campaigning for Barack Obama.
http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/30725264.html?elr=KArksUUUU
It looks like the general population is split half and half for the presidential candidates and that goes for the white communities across the nation. On the other side of the issue it appears as though black communities are not so equally divided as the black communities are overwhelmingly supportive of Barack Obama.
This action indicates that racisms is most certainly an issue in the presidential race and in a way that many are not equipped to accept.
Quotes from the story, “But then, from the mouth of a little girl on a tricycle up the street: "Who's going to vote for Barack Obama?" she yells, pumping her fist. "He's black!", “For Pattersen, trying to enlarge the black vote, one of the most immediate challenges is the public housing project across the street from the church in St. Paul's traditionally black Rondo neighborhood.”

Toilet Paper

Why is it always white?..... Why not Mauve, Sky Blue or even multicolor?
The rolls could even have phototgraphs of some politicians. If they had politicians then there could be racks in the stores by political choice such as party affiliation.
Can you imagine the talking points that would go on at a big party later on in the evening?
In all fairness it would have to be changed every hour or so as to not disfavor any certain party. :)
